Our Story
Surety Pest Control’s journey began in 1994 when owners Steve and Marilyn Lindsey purchased a small pest control company in Oak Harbor, WA. For Steve, this marked the culmination of years of experience in the pest control industry. Starting as a service technician in Seattle, WA, in 1980, Steve worked his way up through roles such as service manager, branch manager, and company trouble-shooter. His expertise eventually led him to a general manager position at a large pest control company on the East Coast. However, the opportunity to return to their home state of Washington and build a company of their own was one they couldn’t pass up.
With a shared vision for Surety Pest Control, Steve and Marilyn laid the foundation of their business on simple yet essential principles: outstanding customer service, honesty, top-quality pest control, and fair value. Over 40 years later, these principles remain at the heart of everything we do, making Surety Pest Control a trusted name throughout Whidbey Island, Skagit, and Whatcom Counties.
